The "In Situ Calibration" model controls the load current, the input voltage and the operating temperature of the power devices. After a user specified settling time at each state, that model samples the average power dissipation over the last 10 switching cycles. These sampled power dissipation values are shown as waveforms in the viewer on the far left side of the schematic. Each x-axis index value (0 to 35) corresponds to a particular state. These sample sets can be downloaded as .csv data , and then easily imported (by copy/paste) into the heat source table look-up model used in this companion design:

https://www.systemvision.com/node/410462

In that design, a state-average (non-switching) version of the Buck Converter is used. This greatly increases simulation speed, which accommodates the long settling time needed for electrothermal simulation.
About text formats Tags Select a tag from the list or create your own.Drag to re-order taxonomy terms.
