In this case, a series connection of 22 Panasonic EVPV370 solar panels are represented by a single calibrated panel model, with total open circuit voltage of 970V and power output capability of 8140W in full sunlight (irradiance = 1000W/square-meter).

In this example, the load resistor is swept from 50 to 500 Ohms over 10 seconds, while the output power, current and voltage are plotted. For the largest allowed input value of scaled-irradiance = 1.0 (equivalent to an actual irradiance level of 1000W/sq.-meter), note that maximum or peak power output occurs when the load resistance = 83 Ohms and current = 9.89 A.

You can change the scaled-irradiance level to any value between 0.2 and 1.0, and see how the peak power level changes in magnitude. That peak value is also reached at different load current levels. This corresponds to the I vs. V characteristics shown in the graph "Dependence on Irradiance" on page 2 of the product datasheet.
About text formats Tags Select a tag from the list or create your own.Drag to re-order taxonomy terms.
