Points -35 286 views total 131 views today Title Description <p><strong>Live Application Example of the NCV84160 High Side Protected FET used as a Lamp Driver.</strong></p> <p>This design illustrates two important features of the NCV84160:</p> <p><strong>1) Load current limiting (approximately 12A) to control lamp in-rush</strong></p> <p><strong>2) Over-temperature shut-down with automatic restart</strong></p> <p>The user can change the battery voltage as well as the lamp power rating and peak inrush current parameters. For example, you can see what would happen if the vehicle owner decides to make the car interior brighter by connecting a 65 Watt/Inrush current 40A automotive headlamp into the interior lamp socket!
